What is EEVA?

In IMF in Barcelona the Early Embryo Viability Assessment Test is already available.

This test has been developed based on research at the Stanford University (USA), it has been discovered that cell division rates are an accurate predictor of viability and underlying health of the embryo.

EEVA system automatically detects embryonic divisions without removing the embryos from the incubator, thereby maintaining optimal culture conditions.

IMF has always been characterized for being at the forefront of technology and so implements any procedure that allows us to improve our success rates. Therefore, with this new technology we expect:

  • To combine our embryologists’ experience with the automation in selecting the best embryos.

  • Improved pregnancy rates by reducing multiple pregnancy rates.

  • To improve embryo selection in our patients so as to get as many healthy children as possible.
