NACE is a non-invasive prenatal tests which avoids unnecessary amniocentesis; it is performed in Spain and the results are obtained within 3 days. A simple blood test detects the presence of abnormalities of chromosomes 21, 18 and 13 (Down syndrome, Edwards and Patau) and the most common anomalies generated by sex chromosomes (X and Y), with an accuracy of 99.7%

NACE ® Expanded includes the detection of trisomy for chromosomes 9 and 16 associated with miscarriage in the first quarter, and identifies six major microdeletions associated with genetic syndromes.

Indications

NACE indications

    • Women who want to check the most common chromosomal abnormalities.
    • Women with high risk of chromosomal anomalies after first trimester screening (ultrasound and hormonal analysis).
    • In previous pregnancies with Down syndrome.
    • Women who have had suspicious alterations detected by ultrasound.
